The Garden to Kitchen Girls Day Camp is a week-long summer garden training program for girls ages 5 to 13. Serving the Enderly Park community, the program is run by longtime gardening enthusiast and Enderly Park resident Calgary Brown of Calgary’s Garden to Kitchen Homestead.

Campers will receive education and hands on learning in:

• Starting a garden

• Seed knowledge and seed starting

• What to grow based on time of year and location

• Harvesting

• What to do with your harvests (live demos): cooking/juicing/preserving

• Chicken Care 101

• Garden Spaghetti & Movie Evening (Parents & Siblings are welcome!)

• BONUS: Farm Tour of Deep Roots CPS Farm

• and much more!

All activities (with the exception of the Farm tour) will take place on the Calgary’s Garden to Kitchen Homestead residence and will provide ½ acre of urban gardening education.

Cost: $200 per Camper

Maximum Enrollment: 30 campers

This fee covers basic supplies, camp T-Shirt, light breakfast, lunch, snacks, and site visit transportation.

The ½ acre property is also home to the Green Apple Oasis Airbnb which will be used exclusively for the camp. The ground floor will be converted for indoor/outdoor classroom education training.

Camp hours: 9am to 5pm

Campers can arrive starting at 7:30am for morning drop off and stay as late as 6:30pm. While afternoon snacks will be provided, please inquire about additional meals needed for your child.

Get ready to learn A LOT and get your hands dirty!!!
